Springfield Icehawks Pee Wee B team captured the Hockey Manitoba Pee Wee Rural A1 Provincial Championships!
The Springfield Icehawks Pee Wee B team captured the Hockey Manitoba Pee Wee Rural A1 Provincial Championships this past weekend in Morden. The Icehawks started off slow and suffered a 3-0 loss to Morden on Friday, but then rebounded with a 5-3 win over Thompson Saturday morning. This set up a rematch with Morden in the semi-finals Sunday morning, where the team dominated the play and beat Morden 4-2. The final was played against Portage La Prairie where the Icehawks started quick and then held on for a 5-3 win to capture the gold medal Sunday afternoon!
