All 2001 Male and 2001, 2002 Female players are invited to try out for this year's Future Stars Program.
This year's tournament will be held April 11-13, 2014 in Yellowhead, Brandon and Pembina Valley.
Skates will be held on March 23, 25, 26, 27 and April 6th at Ile Des Chenes Arena.

Eastman Selects Bantam AAA Hockey Program Update August 2013
The first phase of the main camp has been scheduled for the weekend of September 6th - 8th in Ile Des Chene. Over sixty-five players will be taking part in the camp, forming four (4) teams of approximately seven-teen (17) players per. Each team will be playing four (4) games throughout the weekend having a single game on Friday night, two games on Saturday and a final game on Sunday morning. Following the last scheduled game on Sunday, each player will have an opportunity to meet with the coaching staff to discuss their performance over the weekend. This will also provide a means for players to receive feedback specific to their strengths and those areas which they could improve on. A total of thirty-eight (38) players will be selected to move on to the second phase of the camp scheduled to begin on Tuesday September 10th in Steinbach.
Details regarding player / team composition will be sent out to all players by Saturday August 30th.

MALE BANTAM AAA 2013-2014
Attention: Players residing in Eastman Region and born in 1999 or 2000 (All Bantam aged players interested in trying out for Bantam AAA for 2013-2014 should be registering).
The Eastman Selects are excited to announce that for the 2013-2014 season we will be participating in the Winnipeg Bantam 1 AAA League as a single rostered team. The league will be comprised of 2 divisions East and West with the Selects playing in the East Division, league games occurring during the week and weekends. Further information on the league format, schedule, budget and travel requirements will be available in late August 2013.
The Head Coach for The Eastman Selects Bantam AAA 2013-2014 is Nick Lubimiv along with Assistant Coaches Kevin Augustine and Darrell Sigurdson. The Manager for this year’s team is Paul Francis.
The Eastman Selects AAA Bantam Team will be based out of Landmark, Manitoba for 2013-2014 season. It is expected that practices will be Mondays and Wednesday which will consist of dry land training and video review.
PLEASE NOTE: Eastman has an approval from Hockey Manitoba for a Male Bantam AAA team for 2013-2014. Currently a review is underway of Eastman Bantam AAA and Eastman Bantam AA programming. Final programming recommendations will be presented at the August 22, 2013 Eastman Annual General Meeting. Any information updates will be posted on the Eastman Minor Hockey website.

Female Midget AAA Selects
Eastman Minor Hockey invites you to take part in the Midget AAA hockey program for the 2013/14 season.
The tryout camps will happen on the following dates:·
- September 8th– 8:45 to 9:45 pm at Oakbank One Arena
- September 10th– 8:15 to 9:15 pm at Oakbank One Arena
- September 15th– 8:15 to 9:15 pm at Oakbank One Arena
Cost of the camp is $115.00 and will include a mandatory Impact Baseline Test. Registration fees are due by September 1, 2013. Fees received after September 1 will increase to $150.00 and must be paid before players go on the ice.
A final budget for the season will be provided at the time of the tryouts.

Midget AAA Selects
The Eastman Selects invite you to join them for an exciting year of high caliber hockey. Since 1986 the Eastman Selects have been offering players in our region the opportunity to play and develop their game at an elite level. Over that time period the Selects have achieved numerous team successes as well as producing a number of alumni annually who have gone on to play junior hockey, college hockey and in some cases professional hockey. This season Eastman will have teams playing in the Provincial AAA Midget and AAA City Midget leagues, which offer you the chance to develop your game in an individual and team setting, while giving you the opportunity to show your talents to scouts from the WHL and Junior A Leagues as well as US College recruiters.
The Eastman Selects AAA Midget Provincial Team will be playing out of Beausejour for the 2013-2014 season and are comprised of Midget aged players (15-17 years old). Calvin Bugyik will be the head coach for the first time after ten years of involvement with Selects programs. The team will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays with games scheduled throughout the winter in the Manitoba AAA Midget League (MMHL). There will be dryland and video sessions scheduled throughout the season.
The Eastman Selects AAA City Midget Team will be playing out of Ste. Anne arena and are comprised of first and second year Midget aged players (15-16 years old). They will play out of the Winnipeg City Midget AAA League. They also practice twice a week, while playing the majority of their games on the weekends. The bulk of the travel for this team will be in and around Winnipeg. Chris Mackinnon will be leading the City Midget Selects for the first time after being involved with AA and AAA hockey for a number of years.
There are many qualities that make up a successful AAA player and a successful AAA Midget team. Over the course of the tryout process players who demonstrate the skill set necessary combined with a good work ethic, a good attitude and team first mentality will be the players most likely to succeed.

Dear Eastman Female Bantam Hockey Player:
Eastman Minor Hockey invites you to take part in the Bantam AAA hockey program for the 2013/14 season.
This year the Eastman Region will form a Double Rostered Bantam AAA hockey team. This means 13 and 14 year old girls (born in 1999-2000) will play on their regular team (boys or girls hockey) and will be eligible to participate in the Eastman Selects Bantam AAA program. This team will be coached by Chris McColm from the Springfield Minor Hockey Association.
Monday nights have been set aside for development team practices. We are in the process of finalizing our practice slots for the season.
The team will participate in all Hockey Manitoba Bantam AAA Showcase Events. Hockey Manitoba is still finalizing the dates and locations of the Showcase Events. Eastman intends on applying to host one of the events.
The team will also participate in the Rural Bantam AAA Provincial Championships. Again no details have been provided to us on the dates for this event.

- September 10th – 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Oakbank One Arena
- September 15th – 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Oakbank One Arena
